VAUXHALL MOTORS bounced back from their midweek defeat in style to go top of the North West Counties Premier Division.
Motors and promotion rivals Wythenshawe Town both suffered their second league defeats of the season on Tuesday night and sat level on points going into the weekend.
Motors took advantage of Town being in cup action on Saturday going top with a 4-0 victory at Longridge Town.
Any early nerves were settled by Conor Harwood sweeping home the opening goal inside the first minute.
