It sees the Magpies climb to sixth, level on points with fifth-placed Tiverton, after inflicting only a second league defeat on leaders Truro.
But the Cornwall side will rue missing two late chances during second-half stoppage time when first Ben Adelsbury blasted a good far post chance over – then from substitute Ryan Brett’s ball across the face of goal, Andrew Neal somehow hooked the ball wide of the post.
