LEWES survived a late scare to overcome Bowers & Pitsea and boost their play off hopes.
Lewes had the perfect chance to take the lead in the fifth minute as Dylan Thiselton brought down Deon Moore, but Joseph Osaghae saved from Joe Taylor’s spot kick.
Osaghae could not prevent Lewes from taking the lead in the 15th minute though, when Moore turned home Bradley Pritchard’s low cross.
Bowers responded well with Valckx Fernandes heading wide and Anthony Papadopolous firing over.
