AN UNINSPIRING game saw the points shared in a goalless encounter that neither side deserved to win.
Charlie Durling went close for Brightlingsea with a dipping free-kick that just cleared the Scholars’ bar. At the other end, a Quentin Monville freekick should have tested the keeper but flew just over.
A bright run by loanee Samson Esan saw his shot easily saved by Lewis Ridd in the home goal.
A series of corners created chances for Regent but were dealt with by centre backs Germaine Dua and Devi Kreka.
