HASTINGS United ran out comfortable winners of a game that saw Potters Bar Town battle well for the first half and fold in the second.
All the early pressure came from the Scholars with Sam Dowridge and Theo Alexandrou looking lively without causing visiting keeper Louis Rogers any serious alarms.
An early sign of what was to come saw centre back Craig Stone twice threaten with headers from corners.
