Sorry Bay fail to beat the drop

WINGATE & F4 HERNE BAY 1

HERNE BAY’S relegation from the Isthmian Premier Division was confirmed following defeat on the road against Wingate & Finchley.
Ahead of the match, Bay knew anything other than three points would see them relegated back to Step 4 even if the sides they are chasing also fell to defeat.
As it happened, they did but their own loss was enough to seal their fate.
Manny Yeboah gave Wingate & Finchley the lead in the 22nd minute, curling low into the bottom corner.
