DAVID SMITH scored twice as Hastings United kept their very slim hopes of gatecrashing the playoffs alive.
They took an early lead thanks to Freddie Legg who received the ball on the right, ran past two defenders and squeezed a pin point shot past Matt Rowley’s near post in the tenth minute.
During the celebrations Bognor’s Calvin Davies was shown a second yellow card for dissent and was sent for an early bath after just 11 minutes.
