WAKERING’s five-year stint back at Step 4 came to an end in horrific fashion, as a crushing first-half showing saw Quorn crush to an emphatic promotion-sealing win.
Paddy Webb put the United Counties League side ahead after eight minutes, and added a second from the spot on 19 minutes after goalkeeper Harry Fairs’ untimely foul.
Thabang Dube squeezed home a third on 29 minutes, then completed his brace six minutes before half-time.
