THERE was cause for celebration at full-time for Lye Town, reaching Step 4 of the National League system for the first time in the club’s history.
They produced a lesson in clinical finishing to their hosts in St Neots Town, their higher graded opponents, and can now look forward to Northern Premier League football.
Sharp throughout against jaded opposition, they finished against ten men after midfielder Tom Dickens was sent off late on for a second yellow.
