THE nine men of Marlow couldn’t defy the odds, as Hanworth Villa secured victory in the Isthmian League South Central Division play-off semi-final.
The visitors got the opener in the 32nd minute, courtesy of Sam Merson’s penalty, but were pegged back in the 49th minute when Junaid Bell equalised for the hosts.
The scorer soon turned villain, however, after seeing red alongside Dawid Rogalski, before Marlow suffered heartbreak when George Wells netted a last-minute winner. The goal puts the visitors into the South Central Division play-off ...
