JACK SIMS’ bizarre own-goal sent Worthing through to a semi-final date at Oxford City and ended outsiders Braintree’s hopes of reaching the top-flight.
The visitors had hit back just six minutes after Davide Rodari had given the Rebels a second-minute lead but there was no way back once goalkeeper Sims had punched Liam Vincent’s second-half cross into his own net.
