MANAGER Gavin Macpherson says feeling wanted by Enfield Town was a big factor in his decision to join them.
After more than two decades as a player, assistant manager and, latterly, manager of Met Police, Macpherson decided it was time to move on – and it didn’t take long for the Isthmian Premier Towners to call him to replace the departed Andy Leese.
Asked what attracted him to take the role, Macpherson told The NLP: “First of all, the fact they picked up the phone and wanted to speak to me – that’s a big thing.
