Hednesford set to take a year out

MYSTERY prevails over the bombshell that 2004 FA Trophy winners Hednesford Town ‘will be unable to play’ next season – and whether any 11th-hour rescue will come too late.
It was revealed on Thursday that a collapsed takeover by former Tamworth director Gary Hartland meant the 143-year-old Pitmen would not take to the field in August but that efforts to relaunch a year later would continue.
