FORMER Premier League star Steve Morison says “ego never came into it” after dropping SIX divisions to take charge at Hornchurch.
Morison, 39, played in the top-flight for Norwich, scored over 100 goals in the EFL and spent a year managing Championship side Cardiff City before being sacked last September.
Heavily linked with a return to the Bluebirds as recently as last week, he was instead unveiled by the Isthmian Premier Urchins – to widespread disbelief.
