INNOVATIVE Shifnal Town have ‘Cast’ the net for others to follow, by setting up a brand new podcast studio.

The Step 5 Reds have transformed an old storage room at their Acoustafoam Stadi- um home into a revolutionary new soundproof technology centre which allows the forward-thinking Midland League club to reach out using digital platforms.

And the project backed by Acoustafoam – run by chairman Mick Tranter – is already reaping rewards with the club receiving over 1,000 downloads on its Buzzsprout website and over 1,000 views on their Shifnal Podcast You-Tube channel.

Their highest profile guest so far has been their most recent signing, the former Portsmouth and Bristol Rovers midfielder Kyle Bennett.
