ESSEX SENIOR ROMFORD made a spectacular start to the season with a 5-1 rout of Saffron Walden Town at Mayesbrook Park on Friday. Leading the way was Finley Dorrell, who bagged a hattrick with goals on 3, 29 and 68 minutes. Reece Barrett had levelled matters for the Bloods with a ninth-minute goal, but Bruno Gomes was on hand to restore Romford’s lead three minutes later.
