AS STATEMENTS of intent go, they don’t really come any bigger than Hornchurch luring former Welsh international and Cardiff City boss Steve Morison to the seventh tier of English football this summer.
The Urchins finished runners-up in the Isthmian Premier last season before being surprisingly edged out of the play-offs by Aveley.
As a result, Mark Stimson left the Hornchurch Stadium to be replaced by former Millwall striker Morison in one of the biggest Non-League scalps of the summer.
