Bassett sparks all sorts of fine goals

A PENALTY, followed by a second-half rout, secured Carshalton Athletic a comfortable 5-0 win over Potters Bar at Colston Avenue.
Danny Bassett’s penalty opened the scoring, Kurtis Cumberbatch and Destiny Oladipo scored in quick succession, and Kwaku Frimpong and Paris Hamilton-Downes added late goals as the Robins eased to victory.
Sam Dowridge nearly fired Bar ahead with a volley which hit the woodwork in an even first half but it was Carshalton who took the lead minutes later.
