Macpherson’s off to a flyer

NEW manager Gavin Macpherson could not have asked for a more encouraging start as Enfield Town swept aside disappointing opponents who were in Step 2 last season.
Given they were missing several key players, this was a hugely impressive display and augurs well for the new attack-minded style of play implemented by the former Met Police boss and his backroom team.
Conversely, Concord’s new manager Sammy Collins will have been hugely frustrated that his team couldn’t build on their dominant start.
