■ FOUR first-half goals saw Hebburn overcome Grantham in the opening game of the season.
Hebburn pushed forward but Grantham had an early chance when Robbemond saw his header cleared off the line.
Grantham keeper Hall made two good saves before Hebburn took the lead when Spece fired a loose ball home from 20 yards.
Hebburn doubled the lead a minute later through Purewall. Heywood added a third after 37 minutes and two minutes later Purewall added his second and Hebburn’s fourth.
