■ SHEFFIELD FC opened their campaign with a win at the Home of Football. Club took the lead after 30 minutes, Luke Mangham pressing the Ossett defence to win possession before laying off for Nathan Modest to curl into the top corner from 18 yards.
Modest made it 2-0 eight minutes after the restart, rising highest to nod home Rory Coleman’s corner.
Two minutes later Ossett pulled one back when a mix up in the Sheffield area saw Rafa Ferreira stab home from close range.
