■ A KEVIN Bastos brace gave Belper Town a comfortable victory over hosts Grimsby Borough to kick their season off in style.
Both sides traded efforts in the first 10 minutes before James Cadman opened the scoring by unleashing his effort from distance. Belper could have doubled the lead minutes later had it not been for Tom Sawyer clearing the ball off the line.
Bastos scored the first of his two with a thunderbolt effort into the top corner on 21 minutes leaving Liam Higton with no chance. Adam Drury looked to cut the lead on 28 minutes but ...
