■ HINCKLEY and new- Lye Town ly-promoted took a point apiece from the opening game of the season at Leicester Road Stadium.
The visitors took the lead after 16 minutes when Joe Palmer was played through on goal, slotting the ball past Will Highland. Hinckley equalised five minutes later through Yaegan Gore, when he latched onto an Aaron Nuttall ball into the box.
The visitors retook the lead seven minutes later as Lewis Archer latched onto a loose ball, finding the net despite Highland getting hand to it.
