CANVEY Island went down to a comprehensive defeat to Bognor Regis Town at the Moviestarr Stadium yesterday.
Gulls were not at the races throughout and were undone by a young and energetic Bognor side.
The Rocks scored after just two minutes. A long ball forward found Jasper Mather, who poked the ball past a stranded Sam Jackson and into the net.
Gulls responded well, equalising ten minutes later when Evans Kouassi found room 20 yards from goal and his low shot dribbled past Ryan Hall and into the corner of the net.
