BEN LUND scored the game’s only goal as Chasetown claimed the points.
Vauxhall were denied an early goal thanks to a superb save from Matt Sargeant.
The visitors then went close when Ben Holmes fired into the side netting.
Eventually the Scholars made the breakthrough as Tom Turton sent a ball through from midfield and Lund shrugged off the defender and lobbed the ball beyond Booth. Chasetown nearly made it two when Jordan Evans’ shot hit a post.
