GRESLEY ROVERS bat-tled to secure all three points against AFC Rushden & Diamonds.
In truth, after Gresley Rovers opened the scoring as early as the eighth minute, the hosts never looked like losing. Coming through Stephen Hart, the Rovers man stepped up to a free-kick, before firing an unstoppable low effort into the back of the net.
Rovers sealed all three points with 10 minutes remaining when Bradley Maslen-Jones was given a simple tap-in by the unselfish James Tague. The hosts will hope to use the victory as a foundation for better form going...
