SPALDING United made light work of visitors Coventry Sphinx.
After having the bulk of the opening possession, James Clifton netted the first after 20 minutes following good support play from Dan Sweeney.
The Tulips doubled their lead after 35 minutes when Lewis Hilliard scored direct from a free-kick.
Coventry came out stronger in the second half and created chances of their own until Jordan Graham picked up a loose ball and rifled a shot into the top corner of the visitors’ net.
