BRIGHTLINGSEA Regent claimed victory over an Enfield side that they were separated from by two divisions last season.
The R’s started the brighter and were ahead after 19 minutes when Harry Critchley rode two challengers and laid the ball to Andre Embalo, who switched to his left foot on the edge of the box and smashed low into the bottom corner.
Regent could have been further ahead five minutes before the break as Russell stole the ball and laid off Embalo to strike the post.
