■ INJUR-HIT Trafford fell to a narrow defeat against an impressive Bootle side.
After Stephen Milne had volleyed over from four yards and Ethan Vaughan headed against an upright, Bootle took a deserved lead in the 29th minute when Ben Hodkinson cracked a fine drive past Brad Rose.
Mason Fawns was unfortunate to see a brilliant curling drive ruled out for offside and the first half ended with Rose touching a Hodkinson shot onto a post and behind.
