WITH league leaders Kidsgrove Athletic in FA Cup action, the teams that started in second and third in the table were looking to capitalise.
In a tense first half, chances were few and far between, with midfields and defences on top. Chase leading scorer Jack Langston carried the hosts’ only real goal threat but was just wide of the target, while Avro had a solitary Jamie Rother shot on target, but straight at Bradley Clarkson.
