CHATHAM Town’s perfect start to their Isthmian League Premier Division campaign came to a halt yesterday afternoon as they suffered a 5-1 defeat against Cray Wanderers.
A foul in the penalty area by Jack Evans saw the visitors take the lead – Frankie Raymond converting from the spot-kick after a quarter of an hour.
Chats goalkeeper Ben Bridle-Card produced an outstanding save to tip a free-kick onto the crossbar but Cray managed to double their lead shortly after. Bridle-Card was caught in two minds as to whether to come ...
