FOLKESTONE Invicta inflicted a first defeat of the season on Lewes at the Dripping Pan on a scorching hot day.
The damage was done in the first half when the visitors took a 2-0 lead against the run of play and then withstood a late Rooks rally to take all three points.
Tommy Wood hit the post after 20 minutes, almost finishing off a perfect Lewes move with a goal, while at the other end Jordan Ababio rattled the crossbar with a shot from the edge of the box.
