■ HERNE Bay edged past Horndean in a six-goal thriller in the Isthmian League South East Division.
The flurry of goals got underway in the 38th minute, and seemed to never stop, with Michael Salako’s effort handing Herne Bay the lead before Sam German added a second just three minutes later.
Things got worse for Horndean when Rudi Blankson was given his marching orders, leaving the hosts a man down.
