Hopper sets up Cup run for Stan

LEIGHTON HOPPER’S hat-trick, alongside Louis Anderson and Konner Lamb goals, helped fire an impressive Heaton Stannington past North West Counties League Division One North’s Ilkley Town and into the first-round proper.
Anderson gave The Stan a deserved 12th minute lead when he found the net following a superb Lamb backheel.
Dan Stephenson then came close to doubling the hosts advantage as his free-kick thundered against the crossbar, but Ilkley swiftly equalised when Nathan Hunt struck following a lightning counter-attack.
