ELLIOT LONG’s six-minute hat-trick, over the course of two halves, was decisive as Wingate & Finchley climbed up the standings with a narrow win over a Hastings United side above them - albeit not without a scare.
In a slow first-half, there were penalty shouts on 15 minutes when Tayo Oyebola appeared to be fouled but the referee waved play on.
