■ BELPER Town had to work hard for their victory against a resilient Bridlington Town side.
The Nailers had won 5-1 in the away game a few weeks back, and the visitors had no intention of seeing that result repeated. In a quiet first half Bridlington shaded possession and could have taken the lead after 21 minutes when James Williamson hit the crossbar from close in.
The Nailers improved after the break and were rewarded with a penalty after Danny South was fouled. Cameron Johnson stepped up to confidently convert.
