DANNY Holmes’ first game as Vauxhall Motors manager brought a win against high-flying promotion chasing Clitheroe.
Joe Heath had been overseeing the side following Mick McGraa’s move to Bootle, his time in charge brought a Cheshire Senior Cup exit, but some positives in the league. The Motormen started strongly as Joe Brandon crossed for Lewis Buckley who set up Craig Curran, his shot being blocked on the line.
