IT was honours even between the two play-off hopefuls on a rain-soaked pitch in Lincolnshire.
Hebburn started by far the best and eased into the lead after 10 minutes. Matty Elson fired in smartly after the Cleethorpes defence failed to clear a free-kick.
Harry Lewis and Curtis Bateson were both looking lively for the home outfit but the visitors headed into the dressing rooms with a deserved advantage.
