■OSSETT United held on for an away victory in the face of an onslaught from Stocksbridge Park Steels.
The Steels could have been ahead within a minute, but Jack Tinker’s cross went behind all the attackers before it was cleared off the line.
Stocksbridge had most of the ball, but Ossett got the all-important goal.
A throw-in led to a cross being looped in and Alex Peterson was able to head it in.
The Steels came close again on a few occasions but the game-changing moment came over halfway into the second half.
