LEWES fell to defeat at the hands of Wingate & Finchley on a brisk afternoon for fans at The Dripping Pan.
This game got off to an electric start as the Rooks found themselves in front just four minutes in thanks to a Tommy Wood strike, the forward side-stepping a Blues defender to create enough space to slot home.
The away side replied almost instantly in the sixth minute when attacker Ahmet Biler found himself free in the box and dedender Ronnie Vint could do nothing but watch his shot deflect off his leg and into the goal.
