NEWMARKET Town retained their narrow one-point advantage at the top of the table with a 3-1 away win against Fakenham Town on Saturday. Josh Lee netted twice for the league leaders with Isaac Maynard also on target.
Second-placed Mildenhall maintained their pressure on Newmarket by beating Sheringham 2-0 away from home. Alfie Connor and Kieran Twinn were the away side’s scorers and Mildenhall still have two games in hand on the top placed side having dropped just five points from their opening 16 games to start the season.
