FIRST half goals from Tom Pugh and Yusifu Ceesay were enough for Hereford to see off Torquay and advance to the last 16.
It was the Bulls’ 15th home win in all competitions, whereas the Gulls’ away woes continue.
Hereford thought they had opened the scoring in the eighth minute when new loan signing Tope Obedeyi tapped home. However, Aurio Teixeira was adjudged to have taken the ball out of play before crossing, so the goal was ruled out.
