CHATHAM TOWN returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over relegation-threatened Margate FC.
The Bauvill Stadium crowd of 1,897 were expecting a reaction from the Chats following their 4-2 midweek defeat at Wingate & Finchley.
The deadlock was broken in the 22nd minute after Jack Evans’s short corner caught the Gate defence off guard. Jamie Yila received the ball, won himself an extra yard on the defender and then unleashed an effort into the top corner for the lead.
