Match Preview: Leatherhead v Marlow (Saturday, 3pm)

Two of the Isthmian League Division One South Central’s top sides face each other at Fetcham Grove in Saturday’s kick-off, when fourth-placed Leatherhead host third-placed Marlow.

Leatherhead have picked up 18 wins and four draws from 27 games so far this season, and sit one point below the visitors going into the 3pm match.

Marlow, meanwhile, have won 19 and drawn two of 26, picking up 59 points.

With 74 goals in 26 games so far this season, Marlow are the league’s highest scorers with 2.8 goals per game. And they are conceding fewer than average, letting in 32 goals at a rate of 1.2 per game.

Leatherhead, meanwhile, are average scorers, with 1.7 goals per game. They have conceded 0.7 goals per game.

The home team are in good form in the Isthmian League Division One South Central, with four wins and a draw from their last six games.

With six wins and no losses over that period, the visitors’ form is better – they have taken 18 points from 18, compared to Leatherhead’s 13.

In the last three years, Leatherhead and Marlow have played each other on three occasions. Leatherhead won one of them and Marlow the other.

Their last meeting was on October 28, when Marlow won 4-0 at home.

Leatherhead’s last match was on Tuesday, a 1-0 win against Sutton Common Rovers.

Marlow beat Ashford Town Middlesex 3-0 last time out, on February 10.
