HASTINGS United ran out narrow winners at the MKM Arena as Davide Rodari’s second half penalty proved enough to beat Bognor and take all the points.
A defensive error by Hastings set Matt Burgess up on 20 minutes and he struck his shot low with his left foot but it was straight at Charlie Grainger, who pushed it away.
United’s Jordy Mongoy should have done better as the ball bounced through to him on 32 minutes. He turned well into space but belted the ball high over the bar on the rise.
