■ BIDEFORD started like a team with something to prove after two defeats, and after only 10 minutes Cairan Bridger had a shot saved by Malvern’s Lewis Adams.
Malvern were not to be bossed and Joseph Bullock went close twice. Bideford keeper Lloyd Marshall injured his leg and went off, so winger Finn Roberts replaced him, and he was cheered when saving a shot from Harry Clark.
The second half was dominated by Bideford. Josh Ewing had a shot pushed out by Adams, and then duly hit the ball back into the goal.
