CLEETHORPES started the game the brighter of the two sides with George Smith and Curtis Bateson linked up well for the visitors.
Rival Mardensborough looked to break the deadlock for the Citizens and went close.
Josh Walker missed a great chance for the visitors before the break but they made the breakthrough thanks to a Brody Robertson header.
