FOLKESTONE INVICTA picked up their fourth win of the season away from home after benefiting from a second-half own-goal.
Invicta made a good start to the game. Daniel Smith fired over when well placed, and then forced Bobby Mason into a good save from a header after great play down the right by Matthias Fanimo.
The Islanders were unlucky not to go in front on 15 minutes after a great right wing cross by Jaxson Brown found Tobi Tinubu at the far post. He could only guide his effort against the underside of the crossbar.
