BASFORD UNITED ANSTEY NOMADS 1 BASFORD WON 5-3 ON PENS

BASFORD UNITED beat Anstey Nomads 5-3 on penalties to advance in the FA Trophy after a dramatic encounter ended 1-1 with a goal at the death.
It was a fiery first half, albeit not one with plenty of chances, with neither side offering a lot of threat towards goal despite applying pressure.
Basford came closest with both Tyler Dacres and Kane Richards having chances that almost opened the score, but ultimately there wasn’t a large amount of dangerous action from either side.
