THE DECISIVE moment of this match occurred in the 47th minute. A long ball was played over the top of the visiting back four. Marine’s Michael Fernandes gathered it on the right flank and showed the trailing defenders a clean pair of heels. Approaching the goal-line, he drove a low cross to the front post where Harry Williams slipped his marker to volley the ball home.
After the Marine goal Dorchester pressed forward with zeal. In the 53rd minute an Olaf Koszela free kick was pushed on to the post by Dan Brabham.
